10 Men Who Transformed Themselves Into Superheroes

These days, superheroes are special people that everyone wants to be! However, what people may not know is that superheroes are actually inspired by real life people, and here is a list of 10 men who transformed themselves into superheroes!
1. Father Sergio Gutierrez AKA Nacho Libre

Father Sergio Gutierrez is a 70-year-old former drug addict who became a priest. Gutierrez became a wrestler to help pay for an orphanage that cared for young boys, and a superhero was born!


There you have it everyone, men who are so inspiring that they literally became super heroes overnight! These men were quite brave, and every super hero on the planet should look to these men for inspiration!

2. Nitin Yadav AKA The Artist Who Fights Crimes

Nitin Yadav is a teacher by day and a criminal sketch artist by night.  Yadav has helped apprehend over 150 criminals using his artistic skills.


3. Daryl Davis

Daryl Davis is a musician who makes friends with members of the Klu Klux Klan. Davis makes friends with Klan members to prove their racists ideals were wrong and that makes him a hero.


4. Dashrath Manjhi

Dashrath Manjhi decided to cut a road through the mountains after his wife slipped and died. After 22 years, Manjhi created a road 360 feet long and only 25 feet wide using only hammers. He died in 2007, but the road remains to this day.


5. Hugh Thompson

In 1968, Thompson saved 15 civilians in the My Lai massacre, and was rewarded the Soldier’s Medal for his heroism.


6. Dr. Jorge Chiu

Dr. Jorge Chiu is the head of cardiovascular surgeon, but he is also a volunteer fireman, plus drives around in a Land Cruiser helping other people in dangerous situations without being paid one cent.


7. Jesus Garcia

Jesus Garcia died a 24 year old hero that saved a mining town from a runaway train full of dynamite. Garcia saved hundreds of people and became an instant legend in Mexico.


8. Paul Rusesabagina

In 1994, the country of Rwanda was falling to pieces and millions of people were being killed, but some people tried to help and Paul Rusesabagina was one who tried to rescue as many people from the death squads as possible.


9. Reverend Ray Broshears

Ray Broshears was one of the first reverends to perform same-sex marriages in San Francisco, was a hero to the gay movement and formed the Lavender Panthers.


10. Nepalese Gurkhas

These tough soldiers are so tough they would rather die than be thought of as a coward, and took out two Taliban fighters in a way that would make any Navy seal or Rambo quite proud!
